Dao Seminar this Saturday 1/9

Dear sincere Dao cultivators,

Happy New Year! We hope that each of you had a joyous holiday. Although circumstances this year were sure to have been significantly different from years past, we hope that everyone could continue to find inner peace, solace, and tranquility—or even be the bright, radiant beacon to provide this for others.

Thank you all for your helpful survey responses. Based on your feedback, we have changed the structure of our series this year to be shorter (1.5 to 2 hours at a time), more frequent (every two weeks), and shifted the time later in the day such that we can accommodate more Dao relatives. We hope (and believe) this change will be largely beneficial to most relatives, and appreciate your understanding as we try to accommodate time zone differences. Moving forward in 2021, we are anticipating our series to reliably be held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, at 5pm Eastern / 2pm Pacific, beginning this Saturday, 1/9. An *.ics file is attached for your convenience, which you may import to your personal calendar if you wish. Please do note that this schedule is still subject to change pending possible future scheduling conflicts with other classes.

We are very excited about our seminar series this year! We would like to begin our year by building off on our discussions in 2020, and by doubling down on cultivating the self. After all, practicing and cultivating Dao is in itself rather simplistic: to rid ourselves of our bad habits and tempers. Of course, this is far easier said than done. In our class this week, we will discuss some specific, non-abstract, actionable strategies that we can all use to calm, center, and ground ourselves in times of turmoil. We will also share some of our experiences with these strategies, and invite everyone to share any New Year’s Resolutions they may have with respect to cultivating the heart. (Of course, we can also share some of our own!)
