Evaluating content visibility
The benefit of having individual accounts on this website is that we are able to cater content to each individual Dao relative. This sometimes requires that we periodically test accounts of various permissions levels in order to ensure that the subset of total content that relatives see is indeed what we intend.
To facilitate this exercise, accounts of various viewing permissions have been created. The passwords for all these accounts is as follows:
Test10801
There are 4 generic ‘dummy’ accounts that have been created. Below is a list of them, as well as short descriptions for what each account is meant to view.
| Username | Description |
|---|---|
| test | This account is an ‘unverified’ account. It illustrates what access is like for anyone who creates an account on tongde.us, but has not been manually verified by a website administrator or manager. We have built in this additional verification step, as for the time being, we are only allowing people that we personally know to access the content on this website. Although anyone can register for an account, the account must be verified before the user can view any content at all. |
| test1 | This represents a ‘verified’ account. This account typifies what is viewable to a typical Dao relative who is in their very early stages of cultivation and propagation. They may have received Dao, but they likely are not yet staff and possibly not vegetarian. This account has additionally been granted access for viewing the English Zoom Series class content specifically. |
| test2 | This is a ‘staff’ account. Users with this permission level are able to view staff-level classes and logistical items on the Events Calendar. In the future, this level account may be granted access to select curated Holy Teachings that are posted on the website. Of note, this account has not been granted permissions to view content for the English Zoom Series. |
| test3 | This is a ‘senior staff’ account. Functionally similar to the test2 staff account above, but it is also able to view ‘senior staff’ events. Additionally, it is granted permissions to view class-specific content from all groups, including the English Zoom Series. |
